DISCOVER THE GAME

Discover Soccer is a FALL & SPRING program. It is tailored for children 3-5 years of age and their parents. With the help of Mom and Dad, children will learn simple ball skills, balance and coordination, as well as other important motor skills in a fun and uplifting practice setting.

Discover Soccer challenges children and their parents to learn the very basics of soccer and have fun while engaged together.

These are classes/clinics, not "teams". Size 1 ball.  This is a "movement education approach" to learning about how to control their bodies and the qualities of a moving ball.

These sessions are 45 minutes in length and will be held on Saturdays.  Our goal is to get a minimum of 6 sessions in this fall with a maximum of 8.  Should be lose more than two sessions due to weather we will provide make-up sessions up to the minimum 6.

Discover Soccer is held in FALL & SPRING.

FALL 2021 RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL

❖FC Virginia Recreation has designed and adopted a specific Return to Play protocol for all programs and activities, effective January 1, 2021. This approach to safety, sanitation and security aligns with current medical guidelines and best practices as established by the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) to continue the fight against COVID-19. It has also been shared with the Loudoun County Department of Parks & Recreation as per their RTP safety regulations for all public users of athletic facilities.

❖These guidelines and best practices are designed to prevent the spread and reduce transmission of COVID-19, understanding that nobody can guarantee or completely eliminate the risk to all members of society of contracting COVID-19.

❖Everyone is reminded that we are all responsible and have a role to play and must show self-control and respect for the health and welfare of all in our community – directors, coaches, parents, players, and all volunteers.
