Pre-season camp begins
Aug 27, 2007
We had a good first day of camp, with the long-dreaded 2-mile run for time to kick things off. Thanks to the moms (and grandma) for helping out with the timing and other camp setup. Brittany and Carly - both looking like shoe-in cross-country runners for high school - set the pace early and turned in solid times. Everyone toughed it out and finished strong. The run was a lot to ask after a full day of games the previous day, but the girls all responded very well, and still had the energy for a solid few hours of technical work. The rest of the week will be just as demanding, but should get easier. We'll run for time again Wednesday morning, and fully expect to see major improvements in times.
