Courage fall in state cup heartbreaker - video included

Looking to make their deepest run yet into the Virginia State Cup, the Courage 94s were shocked by a determined and aggressive Springfield Hurricanes side, letting in a first half goal that nicked off the far post and in. The girls in sky blue would rebound with some impressive soccer, and pulled even in the second half on well taken goal by Quincey Dean from 15 yards. But after overtime went scoreless, PKs proved the Courage's final undoing, leaving the players and families frustrated at the poor performance as all knew it was not nearly to the potential of team so full of talent. The good news is U15 state cup is in the spring, so the team will not have to wait long to get another crack at a deep run in the prestigious annual tournament.
